Buffalo Horn Acoustic Bridge Pins

I purchased a set of Buffalo Horn and a set of Bone Bridge Pins from PL for my Martin D-18 Street Legend. One thing I do is switch out one pin at a time and compare it with what is already on the guitar. One reviewer used the word "sweet" in the context of the buffalo horn...agreed. The buffalo horn made the guitar sound a few decades "older" in the best possible way...sweeter, a bit more depth, and just nicer. While the bone bridge pins have a bit more edge, and therefore sound slightly louder than the buffalo horn due to a harder/quicker attack when hit with a guitar pick, I like both the buffalo horn and the bone bridge pins, and can see myself switching between them depending on my mood. In any event, either set is noticeably superior in volume and tone compared to the stock plastic Martin bridge pins, where the stock plastic pins make the guitar sound more "flat", as in less dimensional. In reality, I can't imagine finding such an affordable improvement in anything else.

Very satisfied with these Buffalo Horn Pins, installed in my Yamaha LL6 fit was pretty much perfect, no sanding, and they look awesome , have a LL 16 ordered from Sweetwater Music , getting ready to order another set for that guitar, Thank you Philadelphia Luthiers for making these available

One of the best bridge pins ever used.... i have replaced it on all of my Guitars. My Martin now sounds more sweet ... Please keep more of this with 5 digree...

Sounds much better than Tusq or Bone on my D-18

The 0.203” diameter bridge pin is a size 1.3, and fits perfectly on my Alvarez Yairi DY-45N and Martin D-18. Fabulous quality and you can’t beat the price!
