Pinnacle locking bridge posts
I bought a used Heritage H-530 and one of the bridge studs locking nut was broken off. When I loosened the strings to put on the new bridge stud I noticed that the bridge did not make contact with the broken bridge stud. The locked down side was aggravating the situation. I had noticed that the guitar came alive when i put heavier strings on it so I suspect the increased string tension allowed more contact on the unlocked bridge stud. When I put the new locking bridge stud on, I loosened the other locking stud before tuning the guitar up. I then tuned the guitar up, then tightened down the lock nuts. Wow, what a difference. The wound strings have more clarity and the sustained increased significantly. The guitar is a totally different guitar.
