The Gotoh GE1996T is the best of the high end licensed Floyd Rose tremolo models. Made with premium components…hardened steel baseplate, specially processed steel saddles, and machined brass trem block. Saddles are nicely rounded without any sharp edges. This is a very nice unit!
The GE1996T is a direct replacement for an Original Floyd Rose unit. Some modification maybe needed when replacing other licensed Floyd Rose tremolo models. Please check measurements carefully before ordering.

Got this as cheaper alternative to my usually Original Floyd Rose purchase. Gotta say this is every bit as good as an OFR. This even comes standard with a brass block. I'll even go as far as saying the chrome finish is better than any of OFR's I own. You cant beat this with anything else in this price range. Very well made and sounds great.

Made up of superior quality materials and excellent Japanese technology with very attractive finishing. Very accurate holding tuning of the guitar even on maximum pulling or pushing of the whammy bar. Performance of this tremolo unit is highly satisfactory. Almost zero error in used materials and manufacturing with high class finishings. I purchased this for one of my self manufactured custom Ibanez Prestige design guitar with s Sustainiac Stalth Pro and have smoothness accuracy and holding the tuning accurate perfectly like the Ibanez Edge Pro tremolo bridge manufactured by the same company, i.e., G. Goto, Japan fitted in my Ibanez JS2480. The services from Kenny and team of Philadelphia Luther Tools and Accessories is praiseworthy. Happy to place the second order for this and also give 5 Stars Ratting.

Excellent bridge
Bought this for a project guitar and I am extremely happy! The quality is outstanding and the stud inserts are thick and beefy. The unit overall is built rocksolid and has a very high quality look.

Absolute best Tremolo for the money you can buy.!
I’ve purchased seven or more of these in every color from Philadelphia luthier. With that said. Regardless, these are by far for the money, the best Tremolos that you can get.! I have a few guitars with original German Floyd Rose Tremelo’s, and I like these better!

GOTOH GE-1996T
For me this is the best Floyd Rose style trem on the market, period. I had a Schaller Made in Germany Floyd on this guitar prior and the Gotoh is much nicer - the tone is superior, clarity is better, and it's lighter which means it feels more like a Strat trem and only requires two springs. Shipping was quick from PLT as well. Thanks!
