These replacement tremolo blocks are made to the same specs as the original GOTOH tremolo block.
Instructions:
- Loosen the 4 middle fine tuners all the way and then remove the 4 locking screws from the rear of the bridge.
- Remove the 4 middle saddles will expose the 3 screws holding the trem block to the bridge plate. Each saddle is a different height, so when removed, lay them out in the order they came off so they can be reinstalled in the same position. There is a screw and a washer that holds each saddle to the bridge plate. Be careful not to lose the washer.
- Remove two of the screws holding the block onto the bridge plate. Loosen the last screw and keep your hand on the two pieces of metal (spring and support plate) that are between the bridge plate and the trem block. Leaving the last screw in the bridge plate will help keep the two plates in place and aid in installing the replacement trem block.
- When installing the new tremblock, make sure the logo is facing toward the front of the bridge (ie. toward the neck, pickup, nut, etc).
- Reinstall everything in reverse order of removal.

Worked well in the end
Top surface wasn't 100% square/90° from the sides, but I had to slightly trim it down anyway to fit the specific guitar, which was very easy on a table sander and any slight angle was removed anyway. The screw holes are threaded plenty deep for the slight trimming that sometimes has to happen for a perfect fit. Working great and I'm glad somebody offers these for Gotoh. I'd suggest an upgrade over Gotoh by adding retainer screw holes for the other 2 springs. Would buy again if needed.

Bell brass Trem Block for GE1996T
probably the best balanced sound I've ever heard. Other brands like FUTone are over the top in a bad way because they are not tonally neutral like the PL is. I tested both PL & FUT and the PL allows a more true tone of the pickup being used. Sustain is also better with PL (Phili Luthier)

Nice replacement
These are perfect as replacements, or if you need a different size. They seem less shiny/glossy as compared to the original Gotoh... but that won't really affect performance and they are hidden anyways. Measurements and machining seems to be very accurate and clean.
