Only nickel-free option on the market
I used to use Jescar EVO Gold fretwire because I developed a severe nickel allergy. I ended up liking it better than nickel silver or stainless steel. It had a unique tone and feel that made it superior to all other fret wire in my opinion. Since they discontinued EVO Gold, I needed to find another option. This Sintoms fret wire is softer and does not have nearly as many size option. It is tremendously inferior to EVO Gold, but it seems to be the only nickel-free option on the market today. It gets the job done, but just barely. I would recommend it to anyone with an allergy. If you don't have an allergy, stick to Jescar stainless steel. This fret wire is not that great.
