Sintoms Titanium frets are slightly harder than stainless steel frets while being about 1/3 lighter. It is recommended to install titanium frets mainly on classical guitars and other musical instruments with nylon strings and strings with a soft metal wound. It is not recommended to install titanium frets on instruments with metal strings as well as strings with nickel or steel wound because during the performance and bending a sidetone (squeak) and some inconveniences may appear.
