A great material to try. Very different sound from bone. These are typically slightly oversized from the listed dimensions to give you extra material to work with.

Different than bone
I haven't used this yet, and originally thought I'd gotten the wrong item. Went back and read the description, and it is horn, so that's my mistake. I will try this at some point on a bright guitar to see if the softer material brings rounder sound. Appears to be good quality.
