The outside of an uncut dyed bone nut will be very black. The amount of dye that penetrates the bone will vary. After cutting and shaping, these will typically show a dark gray with some streaking. See the image example for an example.
**Because bone is a natural product, there will be some variations in the color of the bone from the pictured item. Bone can vary from light to dark and show color variation, streaks, spots, and a molten look. This is not considered a defect.
