A lot of research was done to make sure they replicate the original reflector knobs from the 1950s-1960s. These are made with a lightly tinted plastic and silver reflector with light scuffing to replicate the vintage knobs. Lightly aged.
**To make sure you are ordering the correct knob for your guitar look at the underside of your knob and compare it with the one pictured. The difference would be how far the knob sits above the guitar body when it's installed. Many vintage Gibson® guitars have knobs that sit about 1/8" to 1/4" above the body. Many new models (except Gibson® Historics) have knobs that sit flush with the body.

Vintage Accurate
One of the issues that always come up with reflector knobs is how the words “tone” and “volume” should line up with each other and with the numbers on the knob bodies. If one looks at an original 1950’s or 1960’s Gibson guitar with reflector knobs and all of the words and numbers line up on all of the knobs, the knobs are reproductions. With original reflector knobs the reflector inserts were installed randomly. Nothing lined up except the numbers in relation to the knob pointers. If you purchase a set of vintage correct reflector knobs the position of the words should be all mixed up. Check out photos of sets of original knobs and guitars.

Disappointed
Reflectors are not positioned in a/standard fashion…meaning with all knobs positioned on 10, the words are not aligned.

Great Vintage Reflector Knobs
Bought some of these for my "greeny" R9 and my ES-335 '63 reissue and they look great. Improvement over the stock ones by far! Can't beat the price either!

Look great, don't last
They're a great match for when you need it period correct. Unfortunately, the set I got has lost two reflectors before I even got them installed. I have actual vintage reflector knobs that have lasted now 50+ years without losing a reflector, not sure why these are so bad.

Great knobs. darker and richer than Gibson. The reflecters are shiny and actually reflect light the way the old ones do. Well done.
