Hosco fret crowning file - medium gauge
Works well and is an intuitive tool. You still will need to polish the filed frets, but that's all. My situation is one where two guitars with thin frets had previously been ground-down buy a guitar tech, making them lose their rounding. So, while I had good success with the Hosco file, the fret wires couldn't be 100% filed because their height was no longer there. That said, the fret buzz is 90% gone. I may have run out of options, and I am wary of using the "narrow" gauge file.
