Cut clean and fast
I have only used these once so far, and only to widen existing slots. They did a really good job. Clean and fast.

Ordered the kit of 10 but it did not comecwith a 9. No big deal this 1 is just as good

Sharp! One to four strokes per groove was all it took to get the perfect nut height on my newTaylor mini gs.

Nice little file
These are nice little nut files - I have found that they work equally well with or without the holder (which is sold separately). All in all, I highly recommend them!

Hosco compact nut files.
These are made/designed, economical, and work very well with most conventional string nut materials (as well as acoustics and traditional archtop floating bridges). They move and work their way through bone, hard woods, synthetics, and plastics smoothly and well, making short work. I have no experience using them on soft metals, but I doubt they would hold-up for very long, and harder files are definitely in order for jobs like that.

Hot knife through butter!
These are the best! I was having lots of trouble filing through dental composite with my old stew mac files after filling the nuts slots (it was nearly impossible!)but these filed through the composite with ease and precision.. Amazing! Highly recommend!
