These files are really terrible (which was a surprise since I usually have good luck with Hosco). The widths marked are completely inaccurate, with the slots they make coming in easily twice the claimed width on the narrow gauges. They also are very inconsistent in width along the length, making them grab and snag as you pull them along the slot. Don't waste your money.

These are my second set of Hosco nut files, these for electric and 1 set for classical guitar. Simply the best!

These are honestly the best nut slotting files to use for heavy use. They are more durable, usable, and consistently-made than StewMac's and I prefer them over Uo-Chikyu tapered files for the price. Use these for the majority of setups and nut slotting and the Hosco individually-sized files for custom setups and you will have made a great investment!

These files work as expected, just go slow and make sure you don't remove to much material. Great pricing here at PLT also, same files go for $70 on amazon.

I have a drawer full if nut files from various places, but these 2 sided files are my favorite, they come in increments that work, you can tell pretty much by looking at them which ones are which 10 /26 i have some from another place 12/16 so when the marking wears down on the handle you are guessing... Great product Great Seller...Thank You

They aren't a high-end pro set, but they work great for personal setup use. I've used them on quite a few nut and bridge saddle slots.

these make quick work of setting up nut slots.

Perfect set for electric guitars, and worked great to finish up a preslotted tusq nut.
