Ceramic magnet
Purchased these to swap out alnico for more bite. Worked flawlessly. If you have a preconceived notion of ceramic magnets then you won’t like any ceramic magnets. These are just as good as any.

C8 bar magnet
I did a comparison test in an Seymour Duncan custom. Alnico 2, Alnico 5, Alnico 8 and C8 Ceramic. I was doing mainly for high gain but various levels and eq sweep in a 2001 Les Paul Standard. Alnico 8 was the big winner. Main reason huge tight lows with shocking low mids. Mids are there and musical. And the highs arent piercing. C8 was the worst. Sterile sounding. Lows are so tight almost not there. A tad shrill on high end. Has no warmth or character. Magnetic pull is much lower than the A8. I can see where this magnet would work well in over wound high output pickups. To me its a cheap bulk buy magnet for low-end pickup and guitar builders.
