Slugs just fall out
I wound my first two pickups using the butyrate bobbins. I decided to save some money and get these for my second batch of pickups. Ordered the same slugs I used before, PP-4002, but they fell right out of the holes. Even after Philadelphia Luthier sent me a replacement bag that was 'closer to spec', they still fell out. Fortunately I bought hex screws, which do screw in without falling out, but I won't be buying these again. Additionally, these bobbins don't have a hole in the bottom to run the start wire out of. The buytrate bobbins do, and I think it makes for cleaner wiring (and less risk of snapping the start wire)
