With more than twice the power of a traditional Stratocaster single-coil, the Seymour Duncan "Quarter Pound" pickups will transform any Stratocaster into a mean growling beast, bringing you a fat, punchy tone with plenty of top-end sparkle. These high-output Strat pickups will give you big, beefy chords, and single notes will jump out in a way that no other pickup can deliver. The individually hand-polished ¼” diameter alnico 5 magnets help to give it plenty of the high-end sparkle and upper midrange harmonics that make this pickup so special.
These bobbins are hand-built, dipped in lacquer, wound, and wax potted for squeal-free performance. We use modern ‘oval’ Forbon flatwork (non-triangular) which enables the Quarter Pound high output Strat pickups to fit into any guitar that is routed for single coils.
- Neck/Middle/Bridge position models will have the same output, wind direction, and magnetic polarity.
- Middle RwRP position (reverse wind/reverse polarity) – choose this to have a pickup that will be hum-canceling with one of our neck or bridge models.
