authentic, but not vintage
HIs is an actual authentic Gibson cover, complete with Gibson packaging. I am using this on a Norlin era Les Paul Custom. These new truss rod covers have the white text printed on the cover, while the vintage ones were engraved. I kind of wanted a vintage style engraved one. I'm not sure when they stopped engraving them. That's the only reason I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5.

Even though it came with chrome screws and the picture suggests that it comes with gold ( which is what I needed for my Les Paul Custom ), I still would rate this part with 5 stars. Mostly because I was asked to rate the product...not talk about my feelings. But I digress. The lettering is etched and not just printed on top. Well manufactured....you will not be sorry for the purchase. You definitely get what you pay for here.
