vintage style tuners
I installed these tuners on an inexpensive epiphone Les Paul special. I was a nice upgrade from the original tuners in both looks and functionality. I knew in advance that I needed to enlarge the headstock holes which went well with a rat tail file.

Perfect fit for vintage guitars
These are what you need if you have a vintage junior that needs new tuning machines. These were drop in replacements for my '58 Junior. I don't knwo why by Kluson branded tuners are not the tight size which is weird considering Klusons are original.

Perfect Fit
Finally had to retire the original tuning machines on my 1948 Gibson J50. These allowed me to use the same mounting holes and original screws. Smooth precise tuning now. I removed some of the nickel finish and set them on a sponge soaked in Coke to get that vintage look and sanded n stained the white plastic Buttons as well. With these vintage pieces, it is as much about getting the look right as the function. Gotoh makes quality products.

Perfect Replacement
These were a perfect fit for my 1959 Gibson. Smooth as butter, and required no new holes (obviously the most important point). A little too shiny, so I knocked the shine down a little with some 1500 grit, came out perfect.

Exact fit for vintage Gibsons
If you have a vintage Junior or other Gibson that has the 3 on a plate tuners these are the ones you need to replace them with. Surprisingly the modern Kluson ones are not the correct size and are not a direct replacement. These ones are and are a nice quality too.

Vintage replacement part.
I was able to use these tuners as original replacement on my beautiful Airline Simi Hollow two pickup with original tremolo electric guitar. The fit was perfect with a light bore for the new bushings.
