Great tuning machines
Bought these to get the "retro" look with the long tuning post and the clover-leaf design, really satisfied with the looks. Tuning stability is great, and the tuning ratio allows you for a good "fine tune". These are in the heavy side of tuning machines compared with my other basses clover-leaf machines, MIM stock tuning machines in my Fender Jazz Bass and a set of Schaller tuning machines in a DIY project bass. If you are looking for retro look with a good tuning stability these are a good option. Throw them in a Jazz Bass Neck and a P-Bass body with an EMG-MM pickup and a Schaller 3D bridge. Cheers

Gotoh Flat Back Tuning Machines
These are beautiful high quality Machines. I love the adjustability. Flat Backs are the way to go if you don’t want the lugs on back. Shipping was fast. Recently I have made Philadelphia Luthier my go to for parts and tools. Very Satisfied with the product and the service.

Vintage Bass Guitar Tuning Machines for Fender w/ flat back
These are nice tuners, smooth and well made. I happen to like reverse tuners so they were prefect for my project. Being flat backed I didn't have stop and re leave the back of the headstock for each tuner to fit flush, which is what I usually have to do if you want old school reverse tuners. so these saved some time. I will use these again, worth the little extra money to me. I wish the stems were a little long though for more of an old school look.
